Sheriff’s Report
Sheriff Sims presented copies of the annual report from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office. He spoke on issues such as child abuse and the sex offender listing. There were 521 on the list for 2009. He talked about the notable cases in 2009 and the court security staff. He brought up the issue of his trying to get more bed space approved due to the overcrowding of the jail that is forcing them to send detainees to Butler County. This takes money from the budget. Other items mentioned were the addition of two drug dogs, the drug task force and the program to rotate all staff so that they are able to attend all grant meetings.
Chairman Ramsey thanked him on behalf of the township.

Community Items
Mr. Lynch brought up the issue of his not having the public records he had requested at the last meeting. He also suggested that the township should not take advice from the county prosecutor’s office, as he did not think they were giving the township proper advice.

Zoning
Mike Kassalen didn’t have any new zoning business this meeting.

Kirk will attend the Warren County Board of Health Meeting.

Dick Dare presented an article that had been published about the Little Miami Food Pantry’s garden that was created this past summer with the help of Barbara Fath. She has already asked the township to allow them to enlarge the garden this year.
