The Salem Township Board of Trustees met November 26, 2013 in regular session at the Salem Morrow Fire Station Conference Room for the purpose of transacting the business of the Township. President Kirk Ramsey called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. with member Dick Dare present. Mr. Kilburn was absent. Mr. Ramsey asked Ron Stratton to lead all those present in the pledge of allegiance to the flag.

Others present: Don Lynch, Chief Fred LaFollette, Lori Hensley, Ralph Blanton, Ron Stratton, Bob Glancy, Asst. Chief Bill Harrison and Mike Kassalen.

The minutes were read and approved and posted on the bulletin board.

There were no updates to cemetery records for this time period.

Donald Lynch asked the trustees to request an update from the zoning inspector on the Gooch property. He questioned what was going on regarding that property.

Chief LaFollette reported the crew has been working on the trucks and getting repairs done in preparation for the winter weather.
He received a communication from the Warren County Engineer’s office regarding the 2014 road work.

Lori Hensley reminded everyone about the Christmas on Main even coming up in the Village of Morrow.

Mike Kassalen, zoning inspector, had no permits to turn in for this 2-week period.
He reported that he had checked on the Christmas Ranch and said everything was within code. He recommended that a short term permit be issued again for this season.
Kirk Ramsey made a motion to approve this permit; seconded by Dick Dare.
Vote: Mr. Ramsey, yea Mr. Dare, yea

Mr. Ramsey asked Mr. Kassalen to check on the information that Don Lynch had requested.


The fiscal officer prepared checks #14075- #14125, 91563-91577 which totaled $225,779.95.
The board examined the bills that were ready for payment and Dick Dare made a motion to pay the bills as presented. Kirk Ramsey seconded the motion.
Vote: Mr. Dare, yea Mr. Ramsey, yea

For this reporting period the fiscal officer deposited receipts in the amount of $211,593.65.
This amount included receipts #8039– #8057.

With no further business to come before the board, Dick Dare made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:10 P.M. Kirk Ramsey seconded the motion.
